When my dad passed away and I found his box of slides, I was so excited to catch glimpses of the past forever captured on film. My dad designed forestry equipment for mills and loved old cars so it shouldn’t have been a surprise when 90% of the photos I developed were of forests full of trees and old cars — and not just 1 or 2 photos, but an entire roll of film of the same car from different angles and same forest, but different trees.
Well, I have to laugh because it seems that the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree… Same view, different day, different light, new photo.
I use the tag #LookUp on my Facebook posts to remind friends to get off the screen, stop what they are doing and look up to see what this beautiful world has to give and be present for it. I believe you must look for something to find it and when I find something beautiful, I like to share it.
